Traffic jam in Cambodia

Traffic in our country makes me crazy. I spent one hour drive to work every day. Our road not very big and not very small, but sometime it makes me stuck many hours. The problem is not all about the road, but it is also about the driver. There are many reasons that make traffic jam in our country. Firstly, the increasing number of people and transportation; nowadays the number of people living in the city has dramatically increased very quickly because some people come to do business and some others come to continue their educational study.

According to the statistic published on the website of Phnom Penh City Hall shows that, numbers of people in Phnom Penh are 1,501,725(Tuesday, 28-Jan-2014). This huge number of people generate overload vehicle on the streets. Imagine if one people have one vehicle; the traffic will be terrible, right? Secondly is disobeying of the traffic Laws and circular of city hall; breaking the traffic laws and the circular of city hall cause traffic accident and traffic jams. Some people do not know much about how to obey the traffic laws while traffic policemen are also not committed to appropriate implement the existing traffic laws. Some people do not obey the traffic light or traffic sign. Some car’s owner parking their car on street side along the road; these are the main causes of traffic jams. Moreover, some restaurants that are running businesses along the roads do not have parking lot for their guests so that their guests’ vehicles to park on the road sides; leading to become narrow roads and traffic jams. Truly, Traffic jams are the major concern for people because it heavily affects to people’s life in the city. Therefore, we together should obey the traffic laws and respect each other while traveling on the street in order to reduce traffic jams in our city. Last but not least is repairing and constructing the drainage system, road and bridge; many roads in Phnom Penh are narrow. Some of them are under repairing such the drainage system. Not only is that, bridges also under construction. The continuous processes of road and bridges repairing and constructing are the causes of traffic jams. Our country is the developing country so there are many roads, bridges to be built. Furthermore, majority of roads in the city are not divided or separated from each other; for instance, walking side, motor side and car side. In conclusion as a Cambodian people we should help our country. Some of this problem can be solved by us.  One person makes a big change. Love our country, Help our country!

My favorite place at Mondulkiri Province, Cambodia

Mondulkiri is my favorite place for three reasons. First it has a lot of beautiful national place. There are many waterfalls there such as Bou Sra WaterfallChrey Thom WaterfallChrey Yos WaterfallLak Pok Bras Waterfall…I can play with my friends; it can reduce stress. I also enjoy the fresh air there. The forest is also very interesting. There are many trees and animals; seeing them make me feel relax. When I go there, I always go to the forest and learn about the nature. Second Dei Ey, Dei Ey is an ethnic PhnongCommunity living in the middle of the Mondulkiri Protected Forest.

They have a very old culture and living style. I can get a new knowledge by learning about them. I spent two days live in this community last year, and the Phnong people are very friendly. They also help our country to be more and more interesting for foreigner. Last but not least in mondulkiri has a large amount of growing land like growing coffee, rubber, and fruit. In Mondulkiri has a very good land with a high quality for many kinds of plant. I always spend a long time there because of that place, walking, looking at the trees and tasting the fruit. In conclusion Mondulkiri has many good places to visit. That why it becomes my favorite place.

How to become an Outstanding Student

Being a student is an easy task that everyone can do, but being an outstanding one is a difficult task that every student dreams of. In order to change from a normal student into an outstanding one, you need to achieve these six methods. First of all,you should study hard and smart. If you only studyhard but not smart, sometimes you can waste too much effort and only receive a little result back, but if you study hard plus smart, you don’t need to spend that much effort on itand still you can get good result as you want. Studying smart means that you need to study the right things at the right time.Final Exam, for example, is probably the difficult test for students, but all you need to do is reviewing the important lessons during your study or predicting what can your teacher probably put on that exam, so you can focus on those points.
This method can save you so much effort and return you with good result.Second, you need to be punctual in the class. This means that you need to attend every class on time to show that you respect the time and respect the teachers. As one proverb said "Time is money", so it's usual that an outstanding student respect his or her time.Third, you need to be a responsible learner. In class, you need to pay attention to teachers and classmates when they explain or share useful knowledge to the class. If you want others to pay attention to you, you must pay attention to them first. Furthermore, paying attention can also show that you respect them. Another point is that you need to be responsible for every work that you have done. If you are right, you should prove that you are right, but when you are wrong, you should honestly accept the mistake and not put your own mistake to others. Moreover, a responsible learner must be responsible for all the works or assignments given by the professor. You must try your best to do them instead of depending on others to do them for you. Fourth, you also need to be an independent learner. As an independent learner, you need to do self-study by yourself. Sometimes you can review your lessons or spend time to read the text books at home. Furthermore, you also need to research more at home to enlarge your knowledge from day to day. However, you must not separate yourself from others. You still need to be cooperative with other students because teamwork is really important in every situation. You must not be over-confidence on yourself and forget about other students, and you must try to work together and help others to become better as you by explaining them when they don't understand or sharing useful ideas together. Fifth, you need to be curious. During study, you should ask questions when you're not clear about something. Don’t hesitate to ask when you have doubt in your mind. Sometimes you can have different ideas

from your teachers, so you should ask them to explain you their ideas, and you should explain them about your ideas too. That can make sure whose ideas are the correct ones. The teachers' ideas are not always right. Finally, you need to learn how to release the stress. Studying a lot can sometimes make you headache or stressed, so it's usual that you can find some ways to release the stress like playing games, listening to music, talking with your friends, or doing sports, etc. Usually, you can have really hard time in studying, but you should find something to have fun sometimes to refresh your brain and can continue to study more. Just remember that you're not a robot, you should have your own personal time too.To conclude, it's not that easy to change from a normal student to an outstanding one, and it's required you so much efforts from physical to metal; however, you can stillpossibly become one when you follow these six methods correctly.

Take Time For Playing Facebook

Facebook is one of the best social networks in the world that provide the users with many advantages in daily lives. The good thing about Facebook is that we can communicate or chat with friends, relatives, members, co-workers, or our sweet heart in such an instant time. Because of this quick communication, people now can share news or useful information as fast as possible to others. For example, the news about flood in Cambodia can be shared to people in USA through Facebook to let them know about

the situation in Cambodia. Another good thing is that we can keep in touch with friends, best friends, relatives, family, or our special person even they are not here by our sides because we can still chat and have conversation together through Facebook no matter where they are or what they do. Moreover, playing Facebook can let us make more new friends around the globe more than we can imagine. Users in Asia can also be friends with new players in Europe through Facebook. Sometimes we can share our cultural knowledge or religious ideas together in order to understand the differences between us. Furthermore, Facebook is a library of knowledge which contains awesome ideas, inspirational theories, general knowledge and useful information that we haven't ever thought about before. To conclude, Facebook is a worldwide social network which can possibly improve our knowledge, let us keep in touch with friends, and entertain us at the same time.

Alcohol Advertisement In Cambodia

In Cambodia, when we turn the television on, we sometimes hear the words "Bravo, Delicious, Proud of Cambodia" in the alcohol advertisementson TV. It is true that those ads can bring the beer or wine companies more customers and give support to the TV station to keep running on, but the problem is that these ads also encourage more and more people to drink the alcohol products, even the teenagers. That's why people start to debate about this issue whether the alcohol ads should be allowed or banned on the TVs.
For my own opinion, I think that the alcohol advertisements need to be banned from the TVs due to the bad effects from those ads. First of all, the alcohol ads encourage more and more people to consume the alcohol products. As we have already known that the main purpose of the advertisements is to make more customers use their products, so alcohol ads is also the same. However, the problem is that drinking too much alcohol doesn't bring any advantages to health, but just problems. And when more people drink the alcohol, more people will also get health problems from it. Another issue is when people drink too much alcohol, they are not conscious enough to drive the transportation, and it becomes a major reason of traffic accident in everyday lives in Cambodia.  It would be better if those ads are banned from the TV programs, so people can somehow not willingly to drink the alcohol drinks.
Second, the alcohol ads can also effect to young children and teenagers when they are watching the TV programs. Children and teenagers are the age when they always want to try something new, so they probably want to try the alcohol drink, too. For teenagers, they start to enjoy drinking with their peers when they have the chance: having party, friend gathering, wedding ceremony, or even traditional festival. If they just rarely drink, it's not really a problem; however, the problem will occur when they drink too much and too often. They can waste both their time and money on drinking in just-for-fun purpose. Sometimes with the unconsciousness after drinking, they can possibly do something illegally to laws or traditional: stealing, fighting, cursing other, or even having sex with others. As a result, the alcohol ads should be banned from viewing to the teenagers or children who can use it wrongly.
Third, those ads just exaggerate their products too much. Some ads say that their beers or wines are really good for health, can fight against other disease, or prevent the customers from getting heart attack, etc. I think they use this style to attract the customer, but their products have only quantity, not quality at all. How can the wines or beers cost less than a dollar have those much advantages? It's really ridiculous. Sometimes the alcohol ads invite their customers to tell what they think about the products, and those customers also reply with something ridiculous. They say that the drink is sweet and easy to drink, and it also smells great as baked cake. The truth is that the drink is difficult to drink and smell just like alcohol, and it's not that good for health as the ads say.We are the consumers, so we need to think carefully by ourselves to whether in it or not.
Last but not least, the alcohol ads is just too opposite from our Khmer religion, the Buddhism. As we have already known about the Buddha's pharma of five Silonot to kill, not to steal, not to lie, not to have sex illegally, and not to drink alcohol, and Cambodia is one Buddhism country which 90% of the population are the Buddhists and we also put in the Constitution that Buddhism is our national religion, but why are the alcohol ads still allowed to be broadcast-ed on TV program over the country? It's not that bad if we just drink the alcohol not publicly, but the ads are just too much and too public on TV that make other people view Cambodia as a drinking country. All in all, the alcohol ads are really against the Buddhism, our religion, so we no longer need them on TV anymore.

To summarize, the alcohol ads are just too much on Cambodian TV. The presence of those ads just encourage more people , include the teenagers, to enjoy drinking the alcohol more and more, and it doesn't only destroy their health, but it can also be the main reason for traffic accident, anarchy within society and the strongly opposite to our Khmer religion, the Buddhism. That's why the ads need to be banned in any forms on TV programs. Lastly, we are the viewers and consumers, so we need to think responsibly for what we see and do.

Topic: Disadvantages of motorbikes

Motorbikes have a lot of disadvantages for people every day. Everyone can see about the problem of motors. When you buy a new motor it’s very expensive for you, but when you want to sell your motor it’s so cheap. After you buy the motor, you need to expense more money almost every day. You spend for petro, oil and pay for tax every year. Motorbikes can breakdown all the time when you ride them, so you always concern about your safety. Another way when your motor has the problem, you embarrassed when you drive on the way that has a lot of people and you need to fix them a lot of money.

Sometime when you ride your motor in the rain it can be stunk because of your eyes cannot see far away and difficult to control your motor. Motors are limited passengers space, limited luggage capacity, much greater threat of injury from collisions and mechanical failure, lack of visibility to other motorists, exposure to elements, limited driving season in some climates, ease of theft, lack of stereo or communication while riding and the requirement of personal safety equipment. One more you can see every day have a lot of accidents that happened for motors, because when the rider drive so fast it easy to fail and hit each other and then they maybe die. If you want your life safety when you drive the motor you should wear helmet. According to this paragraph you will understand about the disadvantages of motorbikes

The Bou Sra Waterfall in Mondulkiri province, Cambodia I want to visit

The place that I would like to visit is Mondulkiri province. Mondulkiri is an eastern province of Cambodia, which is the most sparsely populated province in the whole country although being the largest province in Cambodia. The province is chock full of natural beauty, with thickly forested mountains, powerful waterfalls and the lush green rolling hills of the western side.

Despite the growing deforestation, especially due to the valuable minerals remaining in the deep red, fertile ground, Mondulkiri has still one of the biggest successional woodlands of Cambodia. Except being in Sen Monorom, we'll find deep pure jungle, with a huge variety of flora and fauna. We may also find gigantic and beautiful waterfalls, where you can take an empowering shower; with the impressive place is Bou Sra Waterfall. Waterfall Busra  is located in Pich Chenda district about 43 kilometers northeast of Mondulkiri provincial town, Sen Monorom. Busra is considered by many to be the most beautiful waterfall in Mondulkiri. The waterfall is divided into three stages:  First Stage: The waterfall fall is 8 to 12 meters high and 15 meters wide in rainy season and 10 to 15 meters wide in dry season. Second Stage: The waterfall fall is 15 to 20 meters high and 20 meters wide in rainy season and 18 to 25 meters high and 13 meters wide in dry season. The second stage is 150 meters from the first stage.  Third Stage: The speed of waterfall is faster than the second stage. This stage cannot be reached because it is in the thick forest. There are no marked paths and dangerous wildlife inhabits the area. From my point of view, Bou Sra Waterfall is the interesting and beautiful place I want to visit in the future.
